All products offered by Casmo Health are sold strictly for legitimate laboratory, analytical, educational, or scientific research purposes.
Products are NOT intended for human or veterinary use.
Products must not be administered, ingested, injected, inhaled, implanted, applied, consumed, or otherwise introduced into the body of any human or animal.
Products are not intended or authorized for:
- Human or veterinary consumption or administration;
- Diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, cure, or prevention of any disease or medical condition;
- Clinical, therapeutic, cosmetic, recreational, or household use;
- Compounding or preparation of drugs intended for human or veterinary administration;
- Incorporation into foods, beverages, dietary supplements, cosmetics, drugs, medical devices, or other finished consumer products; or
- Any other use inconsistent with legitimate laboratory research.
Any such use is expressly prohibited.
2. Regulatory Status
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing for a particular product pursuant to an applicable lawful regulatory pathway, products offered by Casmo Health are research materials and are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for human or veterinary use.
Casmo Health is not a pharmacy operating under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and is not registered with the FDA as an outsourcing facility under Section 503B.
Casmo Health does not hold itself out as a pharmacy, medical provider, or provider of compounded medications for patients.
Nothing offered through this Site is intended to constitute the prescribing, dispensing, or provision of medication to an individual patient.
3. No Medical, Veterinary, Pharmaceutical, or Dosing Advice
Nothing contained on the Casmo Health website or provided through product descriptions, labels, Certificates of Analysis (“COAs”), research summaries, correspondence, customer support communications, or other materials constitutes medical, veterinary, pharmaceutical, clinical, or other professional healthcare advice.
Casmo Health does not provide recommendations or instructions concerning human or veterinary dosing, administration, treatment protocols, cycles, routes of administration, or therapeutic use.
References to scientific literature, chemical properties, molecular characteristics, experimental findings, nomenclature, purity, concentration, or other technical information are provided solely for identification, analytical, educational, and research purposes.
Such information does not constitute a recommendation, instruction, representation of safety or efficacy, or endorsement of any human or veterinary application.
4. Purchaser Representations and Certification
By accessing our product catalog or placing an order, you represent, warrant, and certify that:
- You are at least 21 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater;
- You are legally permitted and appropriately qualified or authorized to purchase, possess, receive, store, and handle the materials ordered;
- You are purchasing the products solely for lawful research purposes;
- You will not use any product for human or veterinary consumption, administration, diagnosis, treatment, or other clinical application;
- You possess, or operate under the supervision of individuals possessing, sufficient knowledge, training, facilities, equipment, and procedures to safely handle the materials;
- You will comply with all applicable federal, state, local, institutional, environmental, safety, import/export, and other laws and regulations;
- You will obtain any licenses, permits, registrations, institutional approvals, or other authorizations required for your activities;
- You will not sell, transfer, distribute, relabel, repackage, market, or otherwise provide Casmo Health products for human or veterinary use;
- You will not incorporate Casmo Health products into any product intended for human or veterinary administration or consumption; and
- You will not purchase or possess Casmo Health products for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.
Each order constitutes a renewed certification that these representations remain true and accurate.
If purchasing on behalf of a company, laboratory, university, institution, or other organization, you further represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that organization.
5. Researcher Responsibility and Hazard Notice
Research chemicals and related materials may possess chemical, biological, pharmacological, toxicological, physical, or other hazards.
Certain characteristics, interactions, toxicities, or risks associated with research materials may be unknown, incompletely characterized, or not fully understood.
The absence of a specifically identified hazard must not be interpreted as evidence that a material is safe.
Purchasers are solely responsible for evaluating potential hazards and establishing appropriate laboratory procedures before handling any product.
Purchasers are responsible for implementing appropriate:
- Personal protective equipment;
- Engineering controls and containment;
- Storage conditions;
- Laboratory procedures;
- Access controls;
- Labeling and recordkeeping;
- Spill and exposure procedures;
- Transportation procedures; and
- Waste disposal practices.
Products should be handled only by appropriately trained individuals in suitable research environments.
6. Certificates of Analysis and Product Information
Certificates of Analysis, analytical results, purity data, batch information, molecular information, and similar documentation describe characteristics of materials supplied for research purposes.
Such documentation does not constitute FDA approval, clinical validation, certification of suitability for human or veterinary use, or a guarantee that a product is appropriate for any particular experimental application.
Purchasers are independently responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their particular lawful research methodology and objectives.
7. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Laws and regulations governing research materials may vary among jurisdictions.
The purchaser is solely responsible for determining whether the purchase, possession, shipment, importation, exportation, storage, transfer, handling, and proposed research use of a product is lawful in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.
Certain products may be restricted or may require licenses, permits, registrations, institutional approvals, or other authorization.
Casmo Health does not provide legal or regulatory advice.
8. Prohibited Uses, Resale, and Diversion
Casmo Health expressly prohibits:
- Human consumption or administration;
- Veterinary consumption or administration;
- Clinical or therapeutic use;
- Compounding or preparation for human or veterinary administration;
- Incorporation into drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, foods, beverages, or finished consumer products;
- Relabeling or repackaging intended to disguise a product’s research-use status;
- Marketing Casmo Health products for human or veterinary use;
- Resale or distribution when the purchaser knows or reasonably should know that a product will be used for a prohibited purpose;
- Circumvention of applicable pharmaceutical, controlled-substance, customs, import/export, or other regulatory requirements; and
- Any unlawful use.
Casmo Health reserves the right, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to refuse, limit, hold, investigate, or cancel orders and to restrict or terminate accounts when we reasonably suspect misuse, diversion, prohibited resale, fraud, regulatory noncompliance, or violation of this Policy.
Casmo Health may request additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate purchaser eligibility or intended research use.
9. Assumption of Risk
The purchaser assumes responsibility for the lawful possession, storage, transportation, handling, transfer, and use of all materials purchased from Casmo Health.
Research materials may present risks that are not presently known or fully characterized.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Casmo Health is not responsible for injury, loss, damage, contamination, regulatory consequences, or other harm resulting from unauthorized use, misuse, improper storage or handling, diversion, relabeling, prohibited resale, or use inconsistent with this Policy.
10. No Authorization Created by Sale
Acceptance or fulfillment of an order does not constitute a determination or representation by Casmo Health that the purchaser’s proposed activities are lawful, appropriately licensed, institutionally approved, safe, or scientifically appropriate.
The purchaser remains independently responsible for making those determinations.
Nothing provided by Casmo Health grants authorization to use a product in any manner prohibited by law, regulation, this Policy, or our Terms of Service.
11. Enforcement
Casmo Health may refuse service, cancel orders, restrict purchasing privileges, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access to the Site when we reasonably believe a purchaser has violated this Policy or our Terms of Service.
Provisions concerning assumption of risk, indemnification, limitation of liability, prohibited use, and other provisions that by their nature should survive shall survive termination of the purchaser’s relationship with Casmo Health.
12. Incorporation of Terms
Purchases are also governed by the Casmo Health Terms of Service, including provisions concerning warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, intellectual property, and other contractual matters.
If you cannot comply with this Research Use Only Policy, do not purchase, possess, or use Casmo Health products.
